ALUMNI ACTIVITIES

Peter Coffin (MFA '00) has his MandRagora Project CD available at Printed Matter in New York City. www.printedmatter.org

Lynn Lu (BFA '99) received her M.F.A. in New Genres from the San Francisco Art Institute last May. She has been exhibiting and participating in residencies since then and is now home in Singapore. She has a scholarship to go to Tokyo Geidai in April to work on a Ph.D. in Intermedia.

Cat Mazza (BFA '99) is a curatorial assistant on the exhibition staff of Eyebeam, a not-for-profit media arts organization that enables and engages cultural dialogue at the intersection of the arts and sciences. Eyebeam is located at 540 West 21st St., New York City.

Marc Fischer (BFA '93), member of the collaborative group, Temporary Services presented with Zena Sakowski & Rob Kelly: Winter Services on December 7, 2002. This event celebrated the launch of Audio Relay, an autonomous radio station and audio archive built by Brennan McGaffey for Temporary Services. Binder Archives was also presented - a mobile, self-contained exhibition with ten binders, and "inflatable things" (a wall, police officer, giant billboard and more) from their Midwest Side Story project, originally launched in Puerto Rico at the PR '02 festival.

Mia Brownell (BFA '93) has paintings represented by Samson Fine Arts in New York City.

Laura Sharp Wilson (BFA '87) is exhibiting in 12 and Under at O.H+T Gallery in Boston, MA through December 21.

James Adams (BFA '83) is teaching at Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland.

Fran (Roman) Hawbaker (BFA '80) and Dave Hawbaker (MFA '88) teach art in the North Allegheny Schools Art Department in Pennsylvania.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ACTIVITIES

Samantha Roth and Ross Christy have been awarded a SURG grant for their collaborative project To Wear Words.

Drew Pavelchak has a graphite drawing, Cabinet Door Hinge in the 2002 National Drawing Exhibition at the University of Hawaii Hilo. This is the first national juried exhibition focused on graduate and undergraduate drawing held in the State of Hawaii.
