As the count grows, we demonstrate to the world that “WE ADD UP.” On the back of each shirt is a word or phrase that describes an action almost anyone can take to reduce their carbon footprint - the contribution their lifestyle makes to greenhouse gases - such as, Unplug, Lights Off, Carpool, Hybrid, Bike, Buy Local, and 18 others. You choose which action you are committed to doing and get counted in. No one can do everything. Everyone can do something. Her goal is to get millions of people around the world counted in and committed to helping stop global warming. WE ADD UP also offers its products as a fundraiser for high schools, colleges, and community and non-profit groups. Groups receive 20% of all sales and are eligible for exciting prizes. UNDERGRADUATE ACTIVITIES

Julia Stein aka JULIAKS, Laura Miller, Ben Bigelow, Amy Johnson, Michael Pisano and Michael McParlane (all BFA '08) present RELEASE, a set of live performance-installations at SPACE Gallery, Pittsburgh, PA, on December 9 at 7:30 p.m. JULIACKS of Unicorn Mountain, (the local comics and music anthology) is presenting the first performance related to her latest comics art book, Swell. Laura Miller's artwork explores communication through taste, smell, and sculpture. From inside a structure of clay, the traditional medium for cooking vessels, she prepares combinations of taste and smell to interact with visitors. Ben Bigelow exhibits a visceral installation that collapses our emotionally violent childhood into a cacophony of videos, performances, sculpture, balloons, toys, sound and light. Amy Johnson’s work portrays fighting amongst females. Covertly violent as opposed to physical and upfront, her performance shows when verbal tension becomes beastly and examines the roots of the gender gap in aggression. And, finally, The Michaels have joined forces and styles to fuse color and sound, beauty and confusion like a psychedelic arcade clanging in baroque resplendence. Unicorn Mountain and Encyclopedia Destructica [Christopher Kardambikis (BFA '05) and Jasdeep Khiara (BFA '04)] will be on hand with recent projects, http://www.spacepittsburgh.org/flash.html; http://www.pgharts.org/events/EventDetails.aspx?id=138812.
